Very few stores cattle were forward. Some 18 months heifers sold to £5 7s, cows to £7 13s.

There was a large yarding of fat sheep, the quality being good. Prime wethers were in short supply. Prices wore on a par with last week. Tn adult sheep there was a large yarding, the sale being irregular, -with an easing tendency. Rest North Island four tooth ewes sold at 375, best Chatham ewes 24s to 255, others 16s to 235; two tooth Corriedale ewes 30s to 325, best sound mouth 22s to 265, aged 18s to 21s.

There was a large yarding of pork and bacon. Pork was slightly easier. Rncon was firm at last week’s rates. Choppers sold £3 10s to £6,18s 6d, pork 50s to £3, heavy to £3' 15s Gd. average price- per pound 9.1(1; bacon sold £1 to £5; heavy to £6 5s 6d; average B’-d per lb.
