ROLLS—PEILLON
Tiie wedding took place at >St. Johns’ Presbyterian Church, Grpymouth, yesterday morning when Agues Isabel (Xessie) Pei lion, eldest daughter of Mrs K. Hall, Winnie Street, was married to Norman Rev Rolls,
third son of Mrs E. Rolls and the late Mr F. Rolls, of Napier. The Rev. T. N. Cuttle officiated. The brici". who was given away by her father waS attired in a frock of peach bins' georgette and lace and. a lovely veil of embroidered tulle was caught with sprays of blossoms, dawn satin shoes and hose en suite and an exquisite bouquet of pale shaded flowers completed a pretty toilette. Miss Elsie Peillon, sister of the bride. was /bridesmaid and wore an attractive frock of eau-de-nil georgette and lace with a summer felt to tone, and car-
ried a shower bouquet. The bridegroom was attended by Mr \V. Hail as best man. Mr R. Tennont played appropriate bridal music. After the reception, which was held at Ha riser's Tea Rooms, the newlv-marricd couple left by the express on their honeymoon for Auckland, and thence to Napier, where they will reside.
CURTAIN—PRESTON
The wedding was solemnised at St. Patrick’s Church, Greymoutli, yesterday morning, when Margaret, the eldest daughter of Mr and Mi's 0. Preston, of Arney Street, was married to Roland, youngest son of the late Mr and Mrs P. 'Curtain, of Bruiinerton. Rev. lather Holahan performed the ceremony and celebrated the Nuptial Mass. To the strains ol the Bridal March, the bride, escorted by her father, entered the church Her frock of ivory satin bea.ute, was fashioned on the low waisted bodice with fully ared uneven hemline finise'd at the side, with a large white taffeta bow and orange blossoms. Her embroidered veil was held in place by orange blossoms and rhino stones. She wore silver shoes and stockings to match, and carried it shower bouquet. She was attended by two bridesmaids. Miss Cbrissy Niven of the Bluff, and Miss Nora. Barrett, the former wearing eau-de-nil georgette and the latter peach georgette. Their frocks were fashioned on the low waist line pointed on the hips and falling in uneven hemline. They wore beige picture bats and carried bouquets to tone with their frocks. The bridegroom was attended by Mr W. Ounliffc as best man, and Mr P. Preston as groomsman. As the newly-married couple left the church, to the strains of the “Wedding March,” the bride was presented with a lucky horseshoe. During the Offertory, Mr T. Hatch,
of Hokitika, sang devotionally Pan-toii-Conpcr’.s “Ave Maria.,’’ Mis--, Moira MoSherry presiding at the orgm. The newiy-inai , rt' , d cou !<> left by the express on their honeymoon tour of South Canterbury and the Cold Lake districts. The bride’ 1 - travelling dress was of reseda giecn chenilo relieved with fawn. She wore a fawn bangkok hat a.nd carried a fox fur. They were fnrcwelled by a large gathering of friends.
