AVitii regard to the Otago Cricket Association’s refusal to extend Bndcook’s leave to enable him to play in the extra test match at Auckland, it is understood that a telegram has been received from the President of the New Zealand Council (-Afr D. Reese) couched in terms to which strong exception has been taken by members of the Otago Association, who. under .' the;circumstances' had no hesitation in confirmin<r the former resolution. The matter will probably receive further consideration at a meeting of the association to be held oil Monday night.

Consent to an injunction preventing the defendant company or its agents from carrying on business under Hie name of “Blue and White Self-help Limited,” or under any name in which “self-help” and “help yourself” is used was given by Afr Justice Herdmnn on the application of the Self-Help Cooperative Grocery Limited. Each company undertook to avoid encroachment upon the common name of the other.
