BERLIN, Feb. 20
A sensation has been caused through out Germany by tne assassination of Dr Kramer, a millionaire mine owner, in the garden of his own house following on a similar attempt two and ahalf years ago. As before, the assassin eseaoe 1 under cover of darkness. nn,-l even bloodhounds, which were immediately set in action, were unable to pick up the scent. Dr Kramer was walking in the garden, awaiting some dinner guests, and was seeking a parking place’ for some of his friends’ cars, when their headlights allowed him to he silhouetted. Immediately a shot from behind rang out, and Dr Kramer collapsed. He was just able to whisper a message to bis wife, when he died. The police are still undetermined whether the assassin was a dismissed employee or a political antagonist, as T)r Kramer was a prominent member o tbe German Peoples’ Party, but the previous attempt suggests that a sensational society drama may be revealed.
