At the Albert Hall, the East Ender, Xid Berg, defeated the Californian Mushy Callahan, in a fifteen rounds junior welterweight contest', Callahan retiring in the tenth round with a broken nose. Previously Callahan has five times successfully defended the world’s title. His supporters, and also Borg’s, contend that it was a championship fight, desipte Callahan’s deposition prior to his going to London.
