The third cricket test'between the M-O.C. touring team and New Zealand was commenced and concluded at Eden •'Park to-day, the match ending in a draw, ;as was' 1 only to- be expected, as rain hud-.prevented v last Friday and Saturday. The wicket played very easily, and the attendance ol 3,500 yielded gate takings of £2lO 17s Gd. M.C.C. batted first and compiled 330 funs for 4 wickets before declaring at the afternoon tea adjournment, leaving New Zealand an hour and three-quar-ters to bat.

The • Marylebone- Cricket Club have consented to an extra test match in New Zealand.

In the Sheffield Shield match'against Victoria,' South Australia in the first inn ings made 110. Bowling Tor Victoria, Davidson took 4 for 6, Ironmonger 3 for 37, Alexander 2 for 43, A’Beckett 0 for 21. Victoria in the second, innings made 396 for 8. A’Beckett 152, Oakley 43, Ponsford 54, J. Ellis not out 45i j ■ ADELAIDE, Feb. 17. In the- Sheffield Shield final match against South Australia, Victoria in the second 'innings 'made 438 (J. Ellis 69). Bowling: Grihimett 5 for 115. Wliitefield 2 for 40, Carlton 2 for 82, Wall 1 for 54. South Australia, 2nd. innings—234 (Lee 37, Richardson 18, Hone 47). Bowling: Ironmonger 5 for 88, A’Beckett 3 for 20. Victoria won by 223 runs and also won .the Sheffield Shield, New South Wales being runtierk up.
