The weather ts overcast with "a light drizzle. The crews have to e'ofitend with a medium southerly head Wind. The water is a trifle choppy for the early stages, but smooth at the finish. A large number of crews are .competing though the field is small for a New Zealand Championship. ' N.Z. Champion Fours, 2 miles:—Picton (L. Jackson, , Olsson, Wilson and; Schimansky) 1, Hamilton 2, Wairau 3. Won by two lengths. The only starters.
