N.S.W. COAL TROUBLE

CALL, FOR MINERS

(Australian Press Association)

SYDNEY, Feb. 13. The coal situation is: unchanged. Work is proceeding at several of the Northern unassociated pits, and the coal is being carted away in lorries without hindrance.

The Roth bury colliery is working full time.

The police are having no trouble with the idle miners.

There is a feeling prevalent that the miners are now waiting for tho decision of the High Court on tlie validity of tho last Beeby Award in tho Federal ‘Arbitration Court, and that if this goes against them, they will return to work in a body.

John Brown, the owner of the Richmond Main. Pit, South Maitland, one of the largest and best collieries, has decided to call for men next week, preferably for his former employees. If they decline, he will appeal for volunteer partical miners.
