THE GRAY CHARGES

CHRISTCHURCH, Feb. 11
The Supreme Court criminal sessions have opened. Addressing the Grand Jury, Judge Adams said the charge of attempted murder against Charles Robert Gray was related to some extent to the breaking and entering of the warehouses in which the accused was concerned. The jury ought to have no difficulty in regaid to the case. Charles Robert Gray pleaded guilty to five counts in collection with shooting Edward Hammond in July last year, including one of attempted murder. Judge Adams postponed sentence till to-morrow.
