LATE LOCALS.
In the event of the Hokitika Combine Schools picnic taking place on Wednesday, as proposed, there will not be any publication of the “Guardian” that day. A special meeting of the Hokitika Volunteer Fire Brigade will be held in the brigade rooms, Town Hall, to-mor-row at 8 p.m. A meeting of the Westland Branch of the Canterbury Automobile Association will be held in the County Chambers to-morrow (Tuesday) evening at 7.30 o’clock. —Advt.
