Flying Officers H. L. Piper and C. Kay, two New Zealanders, and members bf the R.A.F., who have obtained three months’ leave to visit their homes in New Zealand, intend flying to Australia. The have purchased a Desoutter three seater air taxi, of the latest pattern, with one hundred miles an hour cruising speed. They have altered it to a two seater, and are installing an extra petrol tank in place of the third seat, thus giving their igonoplane an 850 miles range. They are hoping to take off tomor-
