WELLINGTON, February 9. The Governor-General and Lady Alice Fergusson left New Zealand (for Home onboard the liner Rangitata at--4.15 par. on Saturday to the strains , of “Aul-Lang Syne. His Excellency, the Administrator Sir Michael Myers, received the. following wireless message from Sir Charles Fergusson.—‘‘Being now beyond the territorial limits of New Zealand, Lady Alice Fergusson and I send to you and - ' the people of New Zealand our warm-. est thanks for the untold kindness during five happy years and for the wonderful farewell given us on our departure. We leave with the happiest mem-, cries and bid one and all farewell.”

ADMINISTRATOR’S REPLY. The Administrator has sent the following reply.—“l thank you on behalf of the people of New Zealand for kindly message expressed in your radios, gram. The people, one and all,, have ■ made abundantly clear, during your farewell visits through the Dominion, of their sadness at parting with you both, and they will always remember with gratitude your own and Lady Alice Fergusson’s great services during the past five years.” °
