A Magistrate lias investigated the charges of inefficiency against Carry, the late Superintendent of Palm Island Aboriginal Settlement (who ran amok and shot the Doctor and Matron, also killing' his own children, and was himself shot dead by blacks). The Magistrate found the statements made were unjjustifiekl. It is stated that Carry had been worried over these allegations, which had led to* the recent island tragedy.
