AUSTRALIANS AT CHRISTCHURCH.

CHRISTCHURCH, February 5
The final appearance of the Australian professional runners, Lycli Cooper and J. D. Fitt, was made at English Park to-night. Fitt showed the best form of the evening, running round the big field in the final of the 220 yards handicap to win in 22 2-5 sec. Sprint races between McLennan and Cooper provided close . finishes. MoLennen won the 50 yards distance in 5 4-5 sec., making a better start and hording his lead to win by 18 inches. Cooper Avon the 100 yards by tAvo feet in 10 sec.
The’? ten miles cycling championship was won by Phil O’Shea. W. T. Weir Avas second and L. W. Hill third. Time 23 min 32 sec.
