AN IMPROVED MARKET. i.By Telegraph—I J er Press Association.) DUNEDIN, February 4. The second Dunedin wool sales commenced this morning, twenty three thousand bales being offered. Bidding was very keen. Bradford secured the bulk of fleecy wools while the Continent took a. large proportion of pieces. Prices did not show such a pronounced drop, compared with December as was anticipated. Halfbreds at the outset were Id to rjd down, crossbreds 2d down. Compared with Invercargill prices they were J-d to ,jd up and the passings were small.
