We o\Ve a word of ■' gratitude tp one not always a supporter or our party, Lord Beaverbrook, fof bringing before the country once more,' that idea—of which we have heard too little in recent years—of a united Elmpi re. I pay tribute to his courage—rare in one of his profession—in offering a subject he believes in to criticism in its proper place, the House of Parliament. In the unity of this great Empire lies our problem. It is the task of a generation to solve. In it rests the question of the unemployment of our people and the continuation of the beneficient existences self of our Empire.”—Mr Stanley Baldwin.
