Mr MacDonald, in a inessage to the electors for Brightskle Division, Sheffield, which is vacant through Ponsonby’s elevation to the peerage, claims tne Government have successfully pursued a policy commanding general approval. It upheld- legitimate British interests, but had taken every step .to improve relations and strengthen foundations of an assured well organised peace. At present it was participating in a vital conference seeking to limit and reduce naval armaments. In this great task it was essential that the Government should have the backing of British people. “We appeal to the electors of Brightside to encourage us with an unmistakeable vote of confidence.”
