The “Daily Express” states a far reaching scheme is developing with strong financial backing, with the object of securing a world market for the British Aeroplane industry. Most machines have been designed and built by the Air Ministry, whoso needs are primarily naval and military. Therefore the designs are not necessarily suitable for commercial needs. Segrave lias been travelling the Continent, picking up ideas regarding the special needs and methods. Thus large luxurious flying boats will be developed to work in conjunction with shipping companies. The development of private flying is also a part of the scheme.
