AUSTRALIAN - FINANCE. LONDON, Feb. 2. The “Observer” says holders of Australian securities are suffering from exaggerated pessimism. It seems certain the average rate °f interest from maturing internal debt must be raised to six per centutp in order to find the replacement money. This naturally has depreciated the value of stocks in issue, but the clouds will pass. Holders of securities are therefore ill-advised to throw away investments at the prevailing prices.
