N.S.W. COAL TROUBLE
£1,300,000. FOR N.S.W. MINERS. (Australian Press Association) SYDNEY, Feb. 2. It is estimated that the contributions and levies of the unionists to the idle miners on the Northern Coalfields of New South Wales since March last have amounted to one million three hundred thousand sterling, of which half a million has been ■contributed by ythose miners who have worked • throughout the dispute. Hon. Mr Weaver, Minister of Mines, expresses the opinion with a return of peace, at least five thousand of the miners cannot he again absorbed into this industry in the northern fields.
