MR DAVY’S ATTACKS
ON UNITED CABINET. By Telegraph—Press Assn., Copyright. WELLINGTON, Jan. 29. In a statement ‘‘to the ‘Evening Post” to-day Mr Davy draws attention to a remark of Air Perry on the occasion of a welcome to Sir J. Ward as leader of the United Party. He .then said: “Our object has been to gather together the anti-Socialist forces of the country'.” At the same meeting. Air Forbes said: ‘This organisation is trying to bring about unity among the progressive anti-So-cialist forces of the Dominion.” AD - Davy says: “Apparently the accession to Cabinet rank has necessitated an abrupt volte face on the part ol Air Forbes and some of his Cabinet colleagues. To settle for all time the question whether the organisation lias attempted to dominate the Cabinet, or whether Cabinet, under domination of Sir J. Ward lias violated the principles and platform of the United organisation, I shall publish the policy drawn, up by candidates and sponsored by the organisation at the pre-election conference, and Sir ,T. Ward’s policy expounded by him, without even consulting the candidates, despite the fact that lie araccoptcd their policy.”
