SUPPORT FOR THE RAILWAYS Public interest has been aroused by tne Westland Progress League in an agitation to Lave the railway extender from Ross to tap the rich lands at Harihari and Wataroa Flats. The route is not difficult from an engineering viewpoint, as already there exists a timber railway for several miles south of the Government railways terminus. —Auckland Paper.
