RESULTS AT MURIWAI. Telegraph—Per Press Association.) AUCKLAND, January 26. Many motorists visited Muriwai Beach for to-day’s motor races. The conditions were perfect. The chief event, the Australasian Beach Championship resulted: R. Greerson’s Sturt 1; R, G. Wright’s Chrysler 2 ; G. Sutherland’s Sutherlands Special 3. Also started: A. R. E. Messenger’s “Messenger’s Special”, D. Paul’s “Thomass Special,” T. L. Cooper’s Essex, and A. P. Donld’s Hudson. The race was a thrilling one between the Sturt and the Chrysler, with the rest of the field paired off. The Sturt won by two and two fifth i seconds, the time being thirteen minutes 29 and two-fifths seconds. The Touring Car Handicap of six miles, was won by B. Shorter’s Essex while the New Zealand Beach Handicap of 18 miles went to S. H. McGrath’s Rugby of one hundred and twenty seconds. Several handicap motor cycle races were held.
