Santos was. kneeling at the attar with iiis bride, when, to the astonishment of all, he suddenly checked the officiating priest, rushed from the altar, and pounced on a man in the congregation, whom he arrested on a charge of stealing her purse fiom a woman” sitting alongside him. The, thief was locked up, the woman regained her purse, and then Senior Santos returned to his waiting bride, apologised all round and was manied without further interruption.
