CAR’S FALL IN GULLY
COMMERCIAL TRAVELLER KILLED. [By Telegraph, Per Press Association.] GISBORNE, Jan. 26. As the result of a motor mishap last .evening, Mr Francis Eugene Barry was fatally injured. Barry, who was traveller for Messrs Williams and Kettle, set out from Tolaga Bay shortly after 8..10 for Tokomaru Bay. When about half way, Barry met another car at a bend, and, going out too far on the road, Barry’s car toppled over, .falling t wenty feet down a gully. Barry was crushed between the hood and the steering gear and was removed to Tolaga Bay hospital, and later to a private hospital in Gisborne, where death ensued at ten o’clock to-day. Barry was about 32 years of age, single, and was the son of Air and Mrs P. Barry, of Napier.
