PARLIAMENTARY COMMITTEE’S WORK. (By Telegraph—Per Press Association.) WELLINGTON, January 24. Highly satisfactory results are expected by the Minister of Education from the investigation of the Select Committee which has been examining' the education system of New Zealand A Sub-Committee, consisting of Messrs P. Fraser, G. R. Sykes and G. Black has been set up to draft the report for submission to full committee when it resumed
A large number of recommendations of the first importance have been made by the Committee, and there are sufficient recommendations in it to justify the compilation of the first section of the report, which promises to be very interesting The report will embody and amplify all the authorities and illustrations, showing the necessity for the changes recommended The Minister paid a tribute to the work of the members of the, Committee
