JUDGE BEERY’S DECISION. DISPUTE BEYOND ONE STATE ANSWER TO HIGH COURT. (Australian Press Association) MELBORUNE,' January 23. Judge Beeby, dealing with the new plaint from the Miners’ Federation to-day, held that there was a serious inter-Srate dispute, extending beyond the limits of one State. The Prime Minister (M,r Seullin) announced the Government’s refusal to ciry out the decision of tiTe Labour Conference. He said the suggestion that Government .should disarm New South Wales police on the coalfields would not receive a moments’ consideration, and added if in defiance of t> e constitution the forces of the Commonweal’ li were arranged against the State p lice, the clash would be unavr.'l rolo and a civil war would be precipit J-ed.
