Aii official of a North Island Mountaineering Club writes, after recently making the Haast Pass trip to the Glariers from Lake Wanaka: “I ;»m quite certain the Haast Pass trio has very promising possibilities, and with up-to-date accommodation facilities there is no reason why it should not rival the Milford Track.” Others write similarly, and man consider it has many advantages over other well advertised routes. Lord and Lady Latymer are arranging an elaborate camping, fishing and stalking holiday in South Westland. SPORTS MEETING.
