Pessimism in the wool market was accentuated by the fact that the continuous, persistent decline of the past months had destroyed, confidence from end to end off the industry. Cheap material purchased one week proved to 'be dear the following weak. Consequently fih.e trade was limited to the smallest actual requirements. Nevertheless the industry is approaching a healthier, sounder position Owing to recent hand to mouth trad*trig, stocks in consumers hands are generally ~light and legimate, requirements will gradually make their presence felt. The season’s supply meanwhile are jield by the producers, especially in Australia and South Africa.
