MOTOR ACCIDENT
CAR OVERTURNS THREE TIMES. (By Telegraph—Press Associat.on). GISBORNE, Jan. 20. While returning to town from the country at noon to-day, a light car, occupied by four men, skidded in loose gravel on a corner at Matawhero. about four miles from Gisborne, and overturned three times. Erik Gideon Ogren, a watersider, aged 43 years, wa9 killed, and the driver of the car, George Nelson, was seriously injured. The other two passengers were Frederick Stanley, whp was injured on the leg and arm,, and Thomas. McConnell, who received cuts on the, scalp and ace. Nelson was removed to the Cook Hospital with serious head injuries, but Stanley and McConnell’s in juries were only slight."
