OFF TO NEW ZEALAND

LONDON, January 17
Sixty-one British National Union farmers and fifteen wives left "Waterloo fo embark by the Remuere for New Zealand and were farcwelled by Lord Bledsloe and Mr Wilford The leader of the party, Sir Whitley, sjud:—“We have the keenest anticipation of a fruitful mission. We are going to learn and exchange opinions, and see if we can assist Empire farming, which Irom a British standpoint needs bucking up. It is really like going to visit relations.”
I o'd Bledisloe said lie trusted the delegation would investigate the possibility of obtaining from New Zealand the best strains of grass seed for use here, instead of large proportions being obtained from foreigners. Mr Wilford’.s farewell while shaking hands with Sir Whiteley was “Go and see how New Zealand transforms so-call" ed worthless lands into rich pastures. It will be an eyeopener.
