The Government lias drastically revised the War Office estimates, and it expects a saving of one and a-liall millions, which will be devoted to social services, says the Daily Herald. It is hinted elcswhere that Air Philip Snowden will impose a supertax on incomes of £IOOO a year and upwards, and will increase he death duties.
