SAMOAN TROUBLE.

NATIVES LEAVE COAST AREA. (By Telegraph—Per Press Association.) WELLINGTON, Jan. 15. The Prime Minister announced today the receipt of advice irom the Administrator of Western Samoa that the Mau left the coast villages early yesterday morning, and took to the hush. H.AI.S. Dunedin’s marines and the police have moved along the coast to Leulumoega, and they stayed the night at Leauvaa.

NATIVE BOAT'S SEIZED. APIA, Jan. 14. Nine fautasis that were anchored near the shore, down the West Coast, were apprehended and brought into Apia to-day. A thorough search of the Vaimoso and Lepea villages was made to-day, and all of the literature and weapons then were seized. A signboard hearing the words “Samoa for the. Samoans” on. the office of the wf'tn, was seized by the police. The Mau members are still in the bush. There are no further developments.
