PROPOSED TAX.
OBJECTION BY SHEEP OWNERS. (Australian Press Association) , PERTH, Jan. 16. The report of the proposed export tax on sheepskins was received here with indignant incredulity. Prices at the current wool sales were unprofitable to growers, and with no fellmongary in the State any handicap on a free market for skins will hit sheep owners through the price received for fat stock. , The Pastoralists Association lias been unable to get /reply from the Scullin Government regarding the re-f port.
