In the 120 yards McLennan was first out of the holes, and led by inches at halfway, when Cooper came with a magnificent finish, and won by a foot in 11 4-5 secs.

Fitt was a little too good for Gelson over both the 8:0 yards and one mile, but these were excellent races, arid only three yards separated the runners. In the mile event the times were 4min 57 2-ssecs and 4min 29 4-5 secs respectively.
