The local swimming control body does not meet till to-morrow, so that no decision has yet been reached regarding the absence, or the failure ol Griffiths and Ryan to return according to schedule. It is known, however, that the feeling is strong tliatil these swimmers compete at the Auckland carnival to-morrow, in defiance, of the Australian Swimming Union’s orders, they should he dealt with in an exemplary maimer.
