Kave Don states that he is satisfied with the preliminary tests of the new car in which he hopes shortly to attack Sir H. Segrave’s record. The question whether the test will lie made on the Peridine Sands or on Florida Beach will be decided when the acceleration has been tested.
,At present it is thought that the Pendine has not sufficient length for Kaye Don expects to reach a speed at the rate of 250 miles per hour.
YACHT SUNK
# SUVA, Jan. 13. During a cyclonic storm at Makogai, the Leader Island, on Saturday, the Fiji Government motor yacht “Lady E:scot,” was blown from her anchorage and sank at sea. The officers and crew were rescued from the floating "wreckage by the searching yacht “Pioneer.”
