A COLD SNAP

IN WESTERN CANADA. [United Press Association.—By Electric Telegraph.—Copyright.] VANCOUVER, Jan. 7. Weather of unprecedented severity prevails in Western Canada. Between, Winnipeg and the Pacific Coast the temperature is as low as iorty below zero. A: Canadian-Pacific railway train was caught in a blizzard in Field Station on top of the Rocky Mountains. The train was absolutely frozen in. Five locomotives were unable to move it. After twelve hours’ delay the train was disconnected so that one car was hauled out at a time. Tlie radiators in many hundred-: of motor cars in Vancouver have been frozen, and the household water pipes have burst.
