COLONIAL LAWS.
PROPOSED LEGISLATION. [United Press Association—By Electric Telegraph.—“Copyright.] LONDON, Jan. 8. It is understood the main recommendation Of the Commission on Imperial Legislation repeal of Colonial Laws Validity Act is a. substitution of ' legislation rendering Acts passed by the British Parliament non-operative in the. Dominions, except with the Dominions’ consent.
The “Morning Post’s” diplomatic writer giving attention to this, is of opinion that if recommendation should become operative, each Dominion would be enabled to pass its own shipping acts, fly its own'flag, and have its own j mercantile marine.
