The Times correspondent at Milan says: In commemoration of Prince Umberto’s wedding, the King of Italy has granted an amnesty, under which a year is being remitted from the sentences jii the civil prisoners, and two years from the sentences of the military prisoners. Relief also will be given in the case of pecuniary penalties, it is estimated that lotir hundred thousand persons will benefit. Six thousand convicts will be liberated. Three prominent anti-Fascists JiaVe been arrested as they are suspected of plotting. They are, Albert Tarchiana. (former editor of the “Corriere Dellasera”), Albert Cianea (ex-editor of “11 Mondo”) and Giuseppe- Sardelli (a former Deputy). In a case which was marked “champagne” under a bed at their ho ted, the police found fifteen pounds of explosives, seven detonators and a number of time fuses.

PRECAUTIONS IN ROME. LONDON, Jan. 3. Contrary to reports which have been circulated that there is an Anti-Fas-cist organisation in London linked up with the Continental plotters, there is no such organisation. The “Morning Post’s” correspondent at Rome states that the discovery of the plot, cabled yesterday, has caused the authorities to redouble the precautions for the Royal Wedding. All access to the vicinity of the Palace has been prohibited to the public for at least twentyfour hours before the ceremony. It is understood that there will he no bridal procession and that every railway route which will he used by the Royal guests is being patrolled by the Black Shirts day and night, and the activity of the French authorities is appreciated.
