Miss lioelia Mary Ponsouby the daugiiter of the Rt Mon Sir Frederick Ponsouby, G.C.V.0., K.C.8., K.C.Y., C.J3., of the Privy seal and Treasurer to the King, is engaged to marry the Duke of Westminster. I lie couple are at present yachting in the Mediterranean. The Duke, wno owns great estates, including six hundred u.ces in London, in renowned as a big game hunter and yachtsman. Miss l’onsonby is tail and dark, and is a witty conversationalist. ■
Note..—The Duke of• Westminister G.G.V.0., who is 49 years of age, and head of the Gmsveuor family, is perhaps the wealthiest land owner m Britain. fu 1901 hiss wife, (nee, -Miss .Cornwallis West) divorced him. He was again divorced by his second wile. Mary Geraldine Bowley, a daughter of the late Sir William Nelson, in 1925. This will thus bo his third venture upon tho matrimonial sea, which has, at any rate for him,.been no placid one. His first wife in 1920 was married a second time to Captain . James Fritapatrick Lewis, late of the Royal Air Force. The Duke,, in addition vo Ids enormous London 'estate, owns no less than thirty thousand acres of land in the counties of Cheshire and Flintshire. He has also an estate in Scotland, and is possessor of Grosvcnor House - Gallery.
