THE RESTRICTIONS RENEWED. By Telegraph—Per Press Association.! WELLINGTON, Jnnunry 3. Cabinet have decided that the present policy in regard to immigration shall He continued for a further period of twelve months until the 21st of December, 1930. Under the existing restriction in re pard to immigrants from the Old Country to New Zealand, Government assistance is being given in the following categories:— (1) Domestic servants and single women under forty years of age. (2) Juveniles, including parties of hoys for the Church of England Immigration Society and the Salvation Army, and also boys and girls for Flock House. (31 Separated families. (4) Special hardship cases in connection with which nominations are required from England. The restriction in regard to immigration 1 of juveniles has not been increased in view of there being unexnjred agreements which have been made with the imperial authorities. Tlie last decision of Cabinet in respect to its immigration policy expired on the 31st df December last.
