£IOO BANTAMS
LONDON, November -21
There were 12,000 entries from all parts of the world at the Poultry, Pigeon, and Rabbit Show, which opened yesterday at the Crystal Palace. The males put up the proudest show and the loudest crow. The females mostly attract attention by being fantastic.
Some of the exhibits are very highly valued. Several Peking bantams are priced at £IOO. The many women visitors lavished their admiration on the fancy pigeons and bantams.
The Pigmy Pouters (pigeons), with dainty feathers draped about their splayed legs, were pictures of quaint grace. The Trumpeters showed novel feathered 'head-dresses which completely covered their eyes and beaks. Among the daintiest exhibits are the Silkies, coated with slender feathers which resemble fluffy white fur.
