A spectacular gaming duel again broke out in the Casino, when, with lightning swiftness, the bank lost eighty thousand sterling to AngloFrench and Greek syndicates. Among the big winners was Mrs George Wakefield. the daughter of the late Bernhard Baron, who says that anybody with courage, some luck, and plenty of money will always win at baccarat against the hank.
