The Woodrow Wilson Foundation, under ,the charter provision permitting its annual award of a prize for the promotion of peace to groups a: Ws.ll ;as to individuals, has announced that an award of twenty-five thous and dollars lias been offered to tin League of Nations for its ten year.servico in the cause of world peace The offer has .been tentatively accepted by the League Secretary, S'u EVjJDruimnond, but this acyeptancf must be ratified by the League Council, which meets at Geneva in January. The officers of the Foundation hope the money will be used for the con struction of a bronze' doorway, honouring the late Mr Wilson, to be placed at the .main entrance of the secretarial building at Lake Geneva. The award will be presented in February and it is hoped that the jjeaguc of Nations’ officials will come here to accept the gift, as the regulations of the Foundation provide that the recipient must come to 1 New York and receive the award.
