Mose Katz, a worker in the PetacliTikvan Colony, was killed while working in a field by the explosion of a bomb dropped during the war. RACING SEAPLANES. ARE PILOTS RENDERED UNCONSCIOUS? . LONDON, Dec. 26. Picked Air Force pilots will shortly indulge in death-defying experiments at Felixstowe to ascertain whether the pilots are rendered unconscious when racing seaplanes make a sharp turn at a speed of three to lour hundred miles an hour. It is known that pilots experience a ‘"blackout” under such circumstances, but the exact physical effect is unknown. The Air Force men will deliberately turn racing craft at higher speeds in order to produce a “blackout,” so that its effect may be studied. The only high speed teamster who has not yet experienced it is FlightLieutenant Stainforth, a GloueesterNapier pilot, who, his comrades say, has a cast iron stomach. SIX MAU NATIVES DEAD. / • APIA, Dec. 29. Six Mail natives died of wounds including the High Chief Tomasase, who died this morning. Twelve are in hospital including the High Chief, Juimal Ealiifan, who has a slight arm wound.
