AUCKLAND RACING CLUB. SECOND DAY’S RESULTS. [By Telegraph, Per Press Association.] AUCKLAND, Dec. 30. There is fine weather and a large crowd for the second day of the Auckland races. The track is in good order. Ferguason Handicap.—(s) Imperial 'Prince 1, (1) Richfield 2, (2) Greenaway 3, Scr.—Red Lion, Antique. Won by a head; two lengths. Time 1.40 1-5. King’s Plate.—(l) Hunting Cry 1, (2) Toxeuma 2, Historic 3. Only starters. Won by a' neck; five lengths. Time 1.38 2-5. An inquiry into the riding of Pegaway in the Christmas Handicap which commenced after that race on Thursday, was concluded after the King’s Plate. After hearing evidence, and the explanation of the Jockey, H. Gray, (who rode Hunting Cry today), the stewards decided that no action was necessary. Hurdles.—(2) King’s Guard 1, (4) Prince Lu 2, (3) Importer 3. All started. Won.'"by seven; lengths; nine lengths. Time 3.44 3-5. Catonian was killed.
