REGATTA AT LAKE KANIERI
SATURDAY, 28th. DEC. 1929. An outboard regatta was held at Lake Kanieri on .Saturday last and a large number of visiting competitors participated. The results of the day’s racing are as follows: “B” Class Championship:—Playmate 1, Pit-a-Pat 2, So Long 3, Hi Speed 4, Burr o, Buzz-Off 6. Playmate (F. Andrews) and Pit-a-Pat, (J., N. Hobin'on) completed the race in 8 min. 14$sees., Playmate crossing the line at the finish not more than a boat’s length ahead of Pit-a-Pat. “C” Chism Championship:—Pit-a-Pat 1, Wasp 2, Play Boy 3. Hi Jinks also entered but pulled out owing 'to engine trouble. Open Handicap:—Burr 1. Playmate 2, Buzz Off 3. Hi Speed and Play Boy were disqualified for crossing the line ahead of time.
“B” Class Handicap:—Buzz-Off 1, Hi Speed 2, Nuff Sed 3, “o Long 4, Pit-a-Pat 5, Burr 6, Playmate 7. In this race there was keen competition between Hi Speed and Nuff Sed for 2nd. nlace. '
“C.” Class Handicap:—Play Boy 1, Pit-a-Pat 2, Playmate 3, Hi Jinks 4.
