SARRON BEATS GRIME. L Uy Telegraph, Per Press Association.' AUCKLAND, Dec. 27. A featherweight contest was Held at tlie Town Hall to-night between Pete Sarron (America) 8.13 and Billy (■'rime Australia 9.11. The bout resulted in a win lor Sarroit on a knockout in the 13th. round. Grime’s display was disappointing throughout, and he only landed four good punches during tlie contest. Sarron fought hard from start to finish, landing quick, clean punches, and displaying fine footwork. There was a packed house. JOHNNIE LECKIE DEFEATED PALMERSTON N., Dee. 26. In a Id rounds professional contest, Tommy Crowle (Australia) defeated Johnnie Leckie (New Zealand) on points. The fight went the full distance, and was very even all- the way. Crowle had the better of the earlier rounds, being particularly strong in infighting. Leckie gave a glimpse of his old form only in the last two rounds.
