Wilkins has wirelessed as follows: —• Adelaide Island, December.. 22: The heights of Grahamland have once more 'been spanned by aeroplanes. Wo twice Hew our Lock head-Vega as a seaplane over the hlack-faccd steep cliffs on the western shore, over the nine thousand feet plateau, to V eddcll Sea. The clouds to-day covered Weddell Sea- to a- height of three thousand feet, hut the high western edge was distinguishable. We took off from the southern edge of the Nesmi Channel. We Hew over Flanders Bay, and turned south along the coast to Dcaschochea Bay, going over Girahamland to Noclithafen Valley and returning northward over the Grahamland heights to a safe landing at Port Loekroy. The he-st sight of all was the sight of the flat ice at Dcashcoelica Bay, which we expect to reach in the aeroplane. We shall proceed to the ice edge. If the weather Holds good wc arc hoping soon to take off for the long flight.

WILKINS' ARCTIC PLANE, BURNT IN ALASKA. NEW YORK, Dec. 22. A message from Fairbanks, in Alaska, states that the aeroplane which formerly was used by Sir Hubert Wilkins during his Arctic explorations was destroyed by fire at tlio Alaskan Airways hangars.
